The G.L.E.W Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit created by Black mothers to advance the life outcomes of Black mothers.

G.L.E.W. is an acronym that reflects the first names of the maternal and paternal matriarchs of our founders: Gertrude, Lilian, Eula and Willie.  These courageous women overcame racism, sexism, domestic violence, death and poverty to pursue their vision for a brighter future for themselves and their children.

Our mission is to advance the life outcomes of Black mothers.  We provide grants to individuals working to eliminate racial and gender discrimination and who themselves also face these obstacles on their path to greatness.

The G.L.E.W. Foundation
