The G.L.E.W Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit created by Black mothers to support Black mothers.
G.L.E.W. is an acronym that reflects the first names of the maternal and paternal matriarchs of our founders: Gertrude, Lilian, Eula and Willie. These courageous women overcame racism, sexism, domestic violence, death and poverty to pursue their vision for a brighter future for themselves and their children.
Our mission is to honor them by financially supporting mothers who are equally ambitious and who face similar obstacles on their path to greatness.
